What to tell Iris when you call
- What you need: a tax return, bookkeeping, a notarization, planning, or help with an IRS letter
- Where the appointment should be: your home, your business, a hospital or a care community
- Who will be at the table, and whether anyone will join by phone
- For a tax return: whether you had a job, self-employment, rental property, retirement income or a home sale
- For an IRS letter: the notice number and response date printed on it
- For a notarization: the document type, number of signers and whether witnesses are needed
With that, Iris can tell you how long the visit will take, what to have ready and the price.
Where Iris travels
Iris's home base is Clearwater, and she travels to clients throughout Pinellas County, including Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Largo, Seminole, Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg, Gulfport and the beach towns, plus nearby parts of Pasco and Hillsborough counties when her schedule allows. Before your appointment
For tax returns, start gathering last year's return, photo IDs, Social Security cards for everyone on the return, W-2s and 1099s. Iris will send a short checklist after you book. For notary appointments, don't sign the document ahead of time; sign it in front of Iris.
