How We Protect Your Information
You're trusting Tax Link with your Social Security number, your income and your family's details, in your own home. This page explains how we handle that information. Questions? Call 678-614-4636.
Hablamos español. Monday to Saturday, 8 to 6.

During your appointment
- Your original documents stay with you. Iris scans what she needs at your table and hands everything back.
- Iris's laptop is encrypted and password-protected, and locks automatically when unattended.
- Paper notes with personal information are kept in a locked case and shredded once no longer needed.
- Iris never leaves documents or devices visible in her car.
Storing and sending information
- Returns are prepared in IRS-authorized professional tax software and filed electronically through the IRS e-file system.
- Records are kept for as long as IRS rules require, then securely deleted.
- We never ask you to email your Social Security number or bank account numbers. If documents must be shared remotely, we use a secure file link.
- Tax Link maintains a written information security plan, as federal rules require of tax preparers. [Confirm Iris has a written information security plan (WISP) in place]
Who sees your information
Only Iris and the systems needed to prepare and file your return. Federal law limits how tax preparers may use or disclose tax return information, and we do not sell, rent or share your information for marketing. We disclose information only to file your return, when you give written consent, or when required by law.
